About

Romanesque church.

Built in the 19th century, Saint-Genest’s architecture is sober and functional, adapted to mountain conditions. It is typical of the southern Romanesque style, with a wall-belfry, a common feature in the region. Its bronze bell, dating from 1469, is a listed historic monument. Several other listed objects (a chalice, a paten and a silver ciborium from the 17th century) have been stolen.
