About
The Romanesque church of Saint-Ebons dates from the 11th-12th century. It was once part of a Benedictine priory destroyed in 1789.
The originality of this Romanesque church lies in its Greek cross plan which is the result of several building campaigns and which no other church in the valley has.
To the west, the powerful square tower of the bell tower, 35m high, is topped by a spire flanked by four slate bell towers.
Rising over 3 levels, the bell tower is gradually openworked on each of its faces up to the upper level, which is pierced by vast geminated bays framed by 3 vaults.
