Opening onto a beautifully proportioned medieval square, dominated by the village’s castle (no longer visited), the building dedicated to the Nativity of Notre Dame is surprising in that it consists of two Romanesque churches side by side, clearly visible as you enter the village and framing a large statue of the Virgin Mary. Outside, adjoining the south nave, is the former cemetery enclosure, where villagers built a reproduction of the Massabielle grotto.
