THERONDELS , Aveyron – Cultural heritage
About
The church of Thérondels houses a jewel: a 12th century wooden sculpture of Christ that received the honours of the Musée du Quai Branly for its inaugural exhibition.
The oral tradition tells us that this church was built in the year 1000. this Romanesque building was modified in the 15th and 16th centuries. Sculpted figures are to be discovered, as too is the trinity figured by 3 faces with the same eyes to the right of the altar.
