CHATEAU VARGOZ
SERIGNAN , Hérault – Cultural heritage
About
Château Vargoz is a 19th century bourgeois property. It belonged successively to the Lamotte, Gautier, Gély and Ollié-Mignard families; then acquired by the commune from Jean Vargoz and Berthe Espinadel. It was to house the village girls’ school, and later the leisure center and associations. Sérignan decided to transform this aging heritage into an artists’ residence, dedicated to the development of contemporary art. Cultural and artistic projects are proposed there all year long. And breakfasts are proposed in the workshops, where all the artists propose the visit.
