About
The architecture of the castle recalls ten centuries of the history of the Aure Valley. Built on the wall that enclosed the Neste du Louron district, it served as protection for the neighbouring sanctuary dedicated to Saint-Exupère. This military and hospital building served as a commandery. It took the name of the Château de Camou (“land of water”) because of the humidity of the place.
