About
Perched more than 700 metres high on the southern ridge of the Corbières, the massive silhouette of this castle looms over the vast panorama that stretches below. This was the last stronghold of Cathar resistance, and its strategic location means it can still stand guard over the plain of Roussillon. The entrance fee also allows you to visit the Achille Mir Theatre in the famous village of Cucugnan, with its multilingual slide-show recounting the legend of the Curé of Cucugnan.
