Annual closure from 12 to 26 January 2026 °°°° The cathedral of Sainte Eulalie and Sainte Julie dominates the town of Elne. Built in the 11th and 12th centuries as a major monument to Catalan Romanesque art, it was the seat of the bishopric of this part of Catalonia from the 6th century until 1602, when it was transferred to Perpignan. The cathedral and cloister form a whole: you must enter through the cloister, and it is not possible to visit the cathedral alone.
