APOTHICAIRERIE DE L’HOPITAL DE LODEVE

About

An outstanding yet little-known heritage site, the Lodève apothecary is one of the last two pharmacies in Hérault to be preserved “in situ”. The 1 hour 15 minutes guided tour provides information on the hospital’s important role over the last centuries and the relationship the institution had with its donors. The apothecary (or pharmacy) is the highlight of the tour. Restored a few years ago, it has a dispensary containing a large number of glass and porcelain jars in a remarkable state of preservation.
