Circuit du Lissourgues

This circuit enables you to see a landscape of contrasts, with an arid plateau and valleys through which run little streams. You’ll see watermills, and dry stone built walls and huts. The Lissourgues is a stream which rises in the commune of Carnac-Rouffiac and flows into the Lot at Bélaye. Don’t be deceived by its demure appearance : it used to work no fewer than eight mills. Some parts of its course along which there are little waterfalls, and the mill dams, have water in them even when there is very little flow, and in places are home to a population of fario trout.
