A matter of water…
The Gabizos villa was built at the end of the 19th century by a notary who used to come to Argelès for a hydrotherapeutic cure. Later in 1939 it was purchased by Lacrampe’s family who transformed it into a hotel. All of a sudden, it became a holiday resort appreciated by those who were interested in having hydrotherapy and also for those who wanted to benefit of our climate’s healing virtues. The fact of being close to the thermal baths represents one of its advantages, of course. .
