Welcome to Camping Chantecler, a family-friendly, intimate campsite nestled in a lush green setting on the banks of the River La Pique, in the heart of the Pyrenees

Émilie & Stéphane, the new owners since December 2024, are delighted to welcome you to a peaceful, friendly and authentic setting, ideal for a relaxing break surrounded by nature.

Ideally situated just 900 metres from the thermal baths, Bagnères-de-Luchon town centre and the Superbagnères cable cars, the campsite allows you to make the most of the resort, whether on foot or by bike. Spa-goers, hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists and mountain lovers will find this an excellent base from which to explore the valley’s many attractions.

Featured in *Le Guide du Routard* since 2016 as one of ‘Our best campsites in France’, Camping Chantecler has 60 pitches, including 42 spacious pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as 18 rental accommodations.

For your comfort, we offer fully equipped chalets and mobile homes, ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms, perfectly suited to both holiday breaks and spa treatments. In 2025 and 2026, we added three new one-bedroom chalets, two new two-bedroom mobile homes and a two-bedroom suite to our rental portfolio, offering our guests even greater comfort, alongside the refurbishment of some of our mobile homes.

The campsite also offers:
• heated toilet and shower blocks with free hot showers;
• a disabled-accessible toilet block and a baby changing area;
• free Wi-Fi;
• a service area for motorhomes;
• shaded, marked-out pitches with electricity;
• group accommodation;
• a bread and pastry shop, with items prepared each morning by a local artisan baker (to order);
• a snack bar offering local produce, ice cream and chilled drinks in high season;
• bike hire, including standard and electric-assist bikes (mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, etc.), to explore Luchon and the Pyrenean mountain passes;
• an electric vehicle charging point, accessible directly from the campsite;
• the spa shuttle bus stop at the campsite entrance.

The new additions for 2026 complement the many improvements made since we arrived:
• an outdoor fitness trail equipped with exercise stations;
• two new boules courts;
• a football pitch;
• a badminton court, the construction of which will be completed very shortly (work having been slightly delayed due to the hot weather).
True to its character, Camping Chantecler prioritises peace, nature and tranquillity. With no noisy entertainment, it is the ideal place to recharge your batteries whilst remaining close to the many sporting, cultural and spa activities on offer in Bagnères-de-Luchon.
