In the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, a 2H walk from the village of Gavarnie, the refuge des Espuguettes offers a breathtaking view of the Cirque de Gavarnie.
54 places in dormitories of 5 to 10 places. Collective evening meal at 7pm. Catering during the day. Located in the pastures at the foot of the Piméné, overhung by the Astazous, it owes its name to the small caves which were used as shelters by the shepherds in the past. This refuge, built in 1972, is the starting point of the climbing routes of the Astazou and the Swan corridor. .
