Le pigeonnier de Sourdabal

ALOS , Tarn – Rental accommodation

About

Guest house in an old dovecote built of local white stone. It used to be the grape-pickers’ house.

This house, long occupied by grape-pickers, has kept all its soul. The wood and exposed stone blend harmoniously, allowing it to retain its authentic character. The family furniture and decoration create a pleasant late 19th century atmosphere, with all the modern comforts of a holiday home. The surroundings (around sixty hectares of meadows and woods) are ideal for peaceful walks. You’ll be able to admire the magnificent sunsets on the horizon, with only the horses in the meadow to watch.

A former pigeon tower has been restored and converted into a guest house, using the white stone typical of the area, in a hamlet where the owners also live, but which is still independent thanks to the land to the rear. Ground floor: fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom, wc. Upstairs: three bedrooms (one double and four single beds, cot). Wood-burning stove, electric heating, reversible air conditioning. Porch, covered swimming pool shared with the owners. Linen provided. Possibility of hiring sheets and towels + end-of-stay cleaning service. Other nearby guest houses belonging to the same owner: Maison du Pech (reference no. G907) and Gîte de Cazens (reference no. G1293)..
