At the end of a small mountain road, La Pouzaque offers an exceptional natural setting, at an elevation of 500 meters, in the heart of the vast wooded areas of the Montagne Noire
A former crop-sharers farm, thoroughly renovated, La Pouzaque is composed of an accommodation construction (the house), a natural camping plot and outbuildings. The house includes 60 accommodations spread over 14 bdrms and small dormitories of 2 to 7 bds, most bunk bds, several washing facilities, two dining-rms, two activities rms, professional kitchen, infirmary, library, games’ rm. In outbuildings : closed 130 sqm games’ hall, unheated (meals, shows), swimming-pool in July-August, baker’s oven, equipped fire area (grill corner and camp-fire corner), pedagogic garden, animal park(donkey, ewes, goats), interpretation path…Certified National Education and Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Associative Life. Accommodation for groups of minimum 35 pers. Possibility of bd sheets renting. At the end of a little mountain road, La Pouzaque grants an exceptional natural site, 500 m high, in the heart of the huge woody regions of the Montagne Noire. From the dark spruce forests to the sunlit causse of Contrast, sheltering the remnants of a medieval city, passing by the brook of La Frayssinette and the rocky peak of La Rocalié, the property of La Pouzaque presents very varied surroundings , representing the riches of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc. Enjoying both atlantic and mediterranean influences, la Pouzaque includes a manifold flora. The diversity of environment is also propitious to the fauna that lives there, in full quietness, in the heart of the L.P.O sanctuary (League for the Protection of Birds). Beyond accommodating children and environment classes, la Pouzaque is perfectly suited to accommodating holiday centres, family or friends’ get-togethers, sports groups (hikers, mountain bikers)….
