The gîte is located in the golden triangle of Albi-Gaillac-Cordes-sur-Ciel, an area brimming with charm and authenticity, offering the ideal setting for an unforgettable stay.

The gîte is nestled in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, and the owners are winegrowers themselves. The estate is less than 2km from the gîte, with 11 hectares of organically-farmed vines producing AOP Gaillac wine.
Wine in the Tarn has a long history! You’re in a vineyard that dates back thousands of years, with the first traces of vines appearing in the 6th century.

You can wander the picturesque lanes of the many hilltop villages and bastides in the area (Puycelsi, Castelnau), discover the region’s rich historical heritage, taste the estate’s wines, or take part in outdoor activities. The Aiguelèze leisure centre is less than 4km away, with a golf club, water games park, canoe and paddles for hire.

** THE GITE **

La Maison de Prat Coutel is a family home dating from 1901. Adjoining the owners who live on site, each has its own independent entrance and is not overlooked.

Ground floor:
– open kitchen with dining table, fully equipped: dishwasher, oven, toaster, kettle, filter coffee maker and Nespresso capsule coffee maker, microwave, fridge with freezer
– separate comfortable lounge with TV and board games,
– wheelchair-accessible bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower room (grab rails)
– separate disabled-accessible toilet, and laundry room with washing machine, second fridge-freezer and cleaning kit.

First floor:
– bedroom with double bed and small study,
– master bedroom with double bed and a convertible bed for children (ideal for under-10s, which can be converted into a 90x190cm bed) and en-suite shower room,
– the children’s bedroom (the former grape-pickers’ bedroom) with 3 twin beds and a double bed,
– shower room with large shower, wc and double washbasin.

Outside:
– Shaded terrace with garden furniture, a barrel with bar stool, and a deported parasol.

– Approximately 500m² of private garden with shady area under the trees, picnic tables for adults and a table for children, gas hob.

– Private swimming pool measuring 4m x 5m with steps on the side and a small beach, 1.50m flat bottom, cover with bars. Pool open from early May to late October.

All double beds are 140x90cm and single beds are 90x190cm. Sheets and towels are not available for hire, so please bring your own.
– Electricity: billing for excess kwh based on meter reading.

A reinforced socket for electric vehicles is available in the gîte and invoiced according to meter reading.

Cleaning service at the end of your stay (worth €100) is included in the rental price.
