When you walk through the door at number 26 Le Planol, you enter a haven of peace and coolness in the heart of the medieval town.
The five bedrooms open onto an interior patio with double passageways, served by a grand 15th-century spiral staircase.
Stone, brick, half-timbering, mullioned and ribbed windows make this house, magnificently restored by the Compagnons du Devoir, an exceptional residence.
Breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the valley, or in the large lounge.
Meals are available to order.
Two bedrooms benefit from natural cooling due to the thickness of the walls, and two are equipped with air conditioning.
In autumn and spring, weather permitting, you can look out over the famous ‘sea of clouds’…
