The quarry was used to build the structures that make up the old railroad line between Ganges and Sumène, now converted into a greenway. This link connects Ganges with the Cévennes National Park.

Access :
– From Sumène on the voie verte, walk about 1 km (pedestrian access).
– Leave the village of Sumène in the direction of Ganges, and about 100 m after the exit, park in the parking lot on the left of the road (on the right bank of the Rieutord), where you can walk to the “discovery” trail of the Combe Chaude nature reserve.
