Before the road was created in 1905, this means of transportation was useful for humans just as well as for animals and merchandise. Today, it allows visitors to discover the most beautiful part of Gorges du Tarn. Starting in La Malène, the ‘batelier’ (boat skipper) leads you through 8 kilometres of turquoise waters, in the most narrow part of this famous canyon. Duration of the activity: one hour, with a professional ‘batelier’ that guides the tour. One boat can contain up to six people.
