Discover the hidden treasures of our region through four routes carefully selected by Gecko Rando. Whether you’re a fan of breathtaking views, passionate about the local flora, or simply seeking peace and quiet, Gecko Rando’s summer walks are designed for all abilities.

Led by enthusiasts, the hikes combine a friendly atmosphere, safety and the discovery of our natural heritage. Get your walking boots ready, fill your water bottle and let us guide you on a journey of total immersion in the exceptional landscapes of our region.

Summer 2026 outings:

> Traces of the garrigue at the Fées drying rack
Look for the aromatic and medicinal plants typical of the garrigue and discover their superpowers, before capturing their sun-drenched image using an ancient photographic process: cyanotype.
Approx. 3 hours – Castelnau de Guers (34120)

> Astro-Rando: reading the skies of the Hérault
When the garrigue awakens and the sky lights up, make the most of the cool night air to rediscover nature. Observe the constellations, listen to the nocturnal wildlife: enjoy an immersive walk where your senses are heightened, beneath one of the most beautiful skies in the department.
Approx. 2 hours – Castelnau de Guers (34120)

> The Pic de Vissou, where scrubland meets fossils
Spectacular views over the Hérault plain, Mediterranean flora and mining ruins set against a backdrop of remarkable geology.
The little extra: a plant-based tasting session at the summit!
Approx. 4½ hours – Cabrières (34800)

> Mars expedition at the Canyon du Diable
Step onto another planet and into another era as you explore the Ruffes, spectacular red lands millions of years old! Between ravines carved by erosion and oases of coolness, a geological and visual adventure off the beaten track, suitable for the whole family.
Approx. 2½ hours – Saint Jean de la Blaquière (34700)
