The name of the Vernieres the owners of the cellars in Roquefort appears from the 17th century. It has been as it is now since 1890 and Roquefort Vernières Frères is still a family and independent company.
The Vernières Frères company maintains and continues to improve the traditionnal manufacturing process which gives its Roquefort cheese a full-bodied character and leaves a delicate impression on the palate. Direct sales of the Vernières Roquefort is also available in the village of Lauras.
