Mas des Manhans
MONOBLET , Gard
About
Mas des Manhans, at Monoblet in the Cévennes, takes its Occitan name from silkworms, in homage to local history. Set in a preserved natural site, it produces organic wine on clay-limestone soils, in the heart of a rich cultural heritage.
Le Mas des Manhans is set in an authentic, unspoilt landscape of garrigue, Cévennes forests and rural heritage. Nestled in a Mediterranean setting where nature reigns supreme, the estate draws its identity from local agricultural history, marked by sericulture. Every corner of the site tells the story of an era, from prehistoric standing stones to the ruins of former silkworm farms.
The organically grown vines benefit from the site’s ecological diversity and clay-limestone soil, which favors the expression of terroir. This profound link between nature, culture and know-how gives Mas des Manhans wines a singular personality, both rooted in and inspired by their environment.
