Mas del Périé

About

Fabien JOUVES comes from a long-established farming family on the Causse. He became a wine-grower in 2006 by creating the Mas del Périé estate on the highest slopes of the Cahors area. The Malbec (or Cot) grape reigns supreme here. Given the estate’s location at the junction of the Côteaux du Quercy and the Cahors vineyard areas, it was obvious that the choice of land would be perfect for bringing out the many different facets of the Malbec variety. This expression of the soil itself is reinforced by the use of bio-dynamic cultivation methods which respect life, plants, Man and his environment. In the winery, the grapes are made into wine in the natural way, without any additives, and the wine is brought to maturity in concrete or wooden vats or oak barrels, according to its personality.
