Marc and Joël TARDIEU continue the activity of the family farm, in Bérengou, in the commune of Mézerville.
Joël is mainly in charge of the fields. He cultivates durum wheat, soft wheat, colza, sunflower, protein peas, corn and beans.
Marc is in charge of raising fattened ducks, ducklings and guinea geese. The force-feeding and the transformation of the ducks occupy him 6 months of the year.
Slaughtering and processing are done on site. A store at the farm allows to present all the products transformed with duck to the customers of passage.
The ducklings are raised on the farm from the age of 1 day to slaughter and in the open air.
The ducks benefit from the flour made on site, composed of soft wheat, corn and peas. Marc raises mainly “barbary” ducks, which are known to produce more meat but smaller
smaller livers.

Tout a commencé il y a maintenant plus de 30 ans avec Ginette et Jean Baptiste, suivi par Marc et Joël qui ont pris la relève. Dans les collines de la Piège, nous élevons nos canards qui sont reçus à 1 jour, nourris avec nos céréales sur l’exploitation et élevés en plein air. L’abattage et la transformation sont réalisés sur place. Une boutique à la ferme permet de présenter l’ensemble des produits transformés à base de canard aux clients de passage. L’essentiel de la production est vendu en vente directe aux particuliers, à des boutiques et quelques bouchers. 2 salariés permanents sont présents à temps plein ainsi que plusieurs occasionnels pour seconder Marc et Joël. Visite de l’exploitation et vente à la ferme uniquement sur rendez-vous.
