About

In the heart of Roussillon, Domaine Piquemal covers 48 ha of hillsides in the Agly Valley. Passionate about wine, like his two grandfathers, Pierre contributed to the establishment of the Domaine and actively began restructuring the vineyard in the 1970s. Along the Agly valley, the diversity of the soils gives rise to a mosaic of terroirs. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, are cultivated with the greatest respect for the environment: plowing the soil at regular intervals to aerate the soil, promote microbial life and store rainwater, pruning short to limit the yield per vine, green harvest in July to leave only the desired number of berries,… Domaine Piquemal works on soils of flaky schist, clay-limestone and even on rolled pebbles. Its vines benefit from an exceptional climate, yielding beautiful grapes and great vintages to be discovered in the cellar.
