Domaine Mas de Jallon is a 45 ha family property located in the commune of Fournès in the far south
of the Rhône valley. This location allows it to benefit from exceptional sunshine favouring the
development of the vine and ensuring qualitative vinification as a result of the grapes that are full of
flavour. With its clay-limestone marl and rolled pebbles, the grounds are demanding and require the
vines to be vigorous and robust. This terroir is therefore able to allow a qualitative ripening of the
grapes due in particular to the large root network which searches in depth for the minerals required by
the vine. It is in this continuity that Christophe Boudinaud, 3rd generation of winemaker and his son
Auguste, both lovers of nature and guided by respect for their terroir naturally turned to organic
farming in 2009 and then to biodynamic in 2016 with the aim of producing a quality wine that respects
nature, allowing harmony between their passion and the environment.
In 2018, the construction of their winery began on the estate, which made it possible to vinify the
harvest and produce the first bottles on the Estate that year. Their approach in biodynamics was
rewarded at the 2019 Orange Wine Competition, winning a gold medal and a silver medal justifying the
compatibility of quality wine and biodynamic farming
