But why name an estate “les robes noires”? Simply because Sarah and Aymeric Discours are former lawyers! In 2021, they have chosen to leave their robes and Parisian life to work in the vineyards of Alignan in the Languedoc region.

But why name an estate “les robes noires”? It’s simple and logical: when you’re a former lawyer, like Sarah and Aymeric Discours – the happy owners of the aforementioned estate… Everything becomes clear!
In 2021, they have chosen to leave “their robes and Parisian life” to work in the vineyards of the Languedoc region. Having both grown up in or near French wine-growing regions (Var, Jura, Burgundy, Alsace and Médoc) as well as abroad (notably South Africa), and having long been passionate about wine and vine-growing… they took over and invested in this estate in Alignan-du-Vent.
Here, they produce wines with the “organic agriculture” label, in the Côtes de Thongue appellation (IGP).
