To the south of the Faugères appellation, the little feudal village of Puissalicon is home to the Croix Belle vineyards, part of the same family for 300 years. Here, the vines are in their element – their roots delve into a clay-pebble mix while their clusters of grapes ripen in the brilliant Languedoc sun. Passing from father to son, these vines are grown using rational agriculture (‘Terra Vitis’), and produce high-quality varietal and blended wines, whether red, white or rosé.
