About
The ancient Gallo-Roman “villa” of Aspiran de Ravanès possessed vineyards and was already producing wine in the Languedoc under Latin domination. After successive possession by the Visigoths, Charlemagne, then the bishopric of Béziers, the estate founded in 1955 is now managed with dynamism and passion by Marc Benin, a 1989 graduate of Bordeaux Institute of Oenology. Exceptional wines made from the highest quality grape varieties, appreciated by the most demanding connoisseurs and the most reputable restaurants, these Languedoc wines have now reached a level of excellence that is recognised throughout France and internationally. This rise to fame culminated in a blind tasting in London September 2004, outclassing no less than the huge, legendary “Pétrus”!
