Domaine de l’Escattes is a family-run, organic winegrowing estate. It produces AOP Languedoc Sommières, AOP Languedoc and Vins de Pays du Gard wines.

The estate lies in a small valley in the heart of the garrigue of the Gard. The vines are planted on stony clay-limestone soil.
The estate benefits from a cool micro-climate for the region, due to the presence of springs and underground run-off. This particularity is at the heart of the site’s history and gave it its current name: the Romans had in fact invested the place and named it “Escattes” from the Latin “Escatarire” meaning “to gush out”!

The Domaine has been run by the Robelin family since the late 70s.
