Philippe Cauvy’s vines are a perfect illustration of the terroir of Faugères: a schistous soil, superficially eroded, varying from blue to rust, tortured, all on slopes, in the heart of the deep garrigue. These lands catch both the sea winds and the fragrances of the moors. Each grape variety has been chosen and planted in relation to the geographical exposure of the parcels. This diversity of soils, as well as the windy and sunny exposure are at the origin of the characteristics of power and balance of the vintages.
