About
Christian Amido founded the domaine in 1987 from family vineyards on the right bank of the Rhône, and produced his first vintages in 2000. In 2003, the estate was taken over by his two daughters.
The vines cover 27 hectares in the communes of Tavel, Lirac, Rochefort du Gard and Pujaut. The terroirs are composed of rolled pebbles, limestone lauzes and sands. The Domaine has around 5 ha of vines in the village of Signargues, around 6 km south of Tavel. Here, the terroir is similar to that of Lirac, with rolled pebbles and clay, and the vines have a southerly exposure.
The estate’s grape varieties are Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier and Clairette.
The plots are cultivated using integrated viticulture methods, which the Domaine believes help to promote healthier vines and therefore better wines.
