Château du Cayrou is a family estate of 30 hectares located in Puy-L’Evêque, 3rd site of the Lot, in the heart of the Cahors appellation. 17th century château, its park planted in 1856 and its wine storehouses of more than 1000 m², nestled in the confines of a meander of the Lot, make it one of the most beautiful wine estates of the appellation.In the course of the visit, we will present to you:- the history of Château du Cayrou and the wines of Cahors,- the terroirs of the Cahors appellation,- the impact of work in the vineyard on the wine,- the winemaking process,- the 4 senses involved in wine tasting.
