Philippe LEGRAND, a former High Mountain Rescuer and member of the Peloton de Gendarmerie de Haute Montagne (High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon), offers a wide range of activities and outings in both summer and winter in the Pyrenees. Snowshoeing: we’ll help you discover the snow-covered mountains in a friendly atmosphere, with the pleasure of making your own tracks in an unspoilt area, in complete freedom. A fun activity for all, young and old! He’ll show you how to build an improvised bivouac or even an igloo. You’ll learn about the snowpack and how avalanches are triggered. With your snowshoes on, you’ll be transformed into “Trappers”, “Coureurs des Bois” à la Jack London, to identify animal tracks and picnic in a cabin isolated from civilisation. And why not continue with a torchlit night hike, with mulled wine in front of the fire in a mountain hut. Unforgettable winter scenery guaranteed with our snowshoe hikes.
