Introductory tree-climbing workshop: top-rope workshop and Corde à soi workshop
Top-rope workshop: similar to rock climbing, this is a simple and safe way to climb to the top of a tree using the branches and trunk.
It’s done in pairs, with the belaying being done on the ground by another participant in perfect coordination.
It’s a great way to get to grips with climbing techniques for the first time, and it’s also great for sensory activities (blindfolded, barefoot, etc.). In constant contact with the tree and its bark, this climbing technique builds confidence in yourself and your partner.
Corde à soi workshop: This is the workshop that allows you to climb independently at your own pace on a vertical rope.
It allows new climbers to visit the tree from the inside right up to the top, practising their movements. It also provides access to structures (hammocks, nets, tables, etc.) for resting or playing scientist.
It’s an ideal workshop for building self-confidence, working on self-reliance and overcoming initial apprehensions.
