Welcome to Monestiés
Between Albi (UNESCO) and Cordes-sur-Ciel, Monestiés is nestled in a loop of Cérou. Its cultural heritage is part of a bucolic natural environment. Old stones, old houses harmonize with the green and hilly landscape.
Since 2001 Monestiés is ranked among the most beautiful villages in France and we enjoy stroll through its picturesque streets to meet the remains of the past: ancient fortifications, bridge Candèze, Griffoul fountain, half-timbered isons and other architectures remarkable … Do not forget to discover the paintings of the Bajen-Vega museum, and to admire the statuary group of the castle of Combefa at the Chapel St Jacques, jewel of the city.
