In Valcabrère, between Gascony and the Pyrenees, two charming guest rooms await you in the “Clos d’Artagnan”, an emblematic property restored to its original character.
The Chambre Athos, located on the ground floor, has been entirely designed with disabled access in mind. Spacious, bright and decorated with period features, it has a comfortable double bed (140×200), an en suite shower room with walk-in shower and facilities to suit all needs. Upstairs, the Chambre Porthos will win you over with its refined furnishings and carefully chosen drapes. The 2 twin beds (90*200) and private shower room add to the peaceful, elegant atmosphere. Guests have access to a communal lounge for reading or socialising, a fully-equipped kitchen (fridge-freezer, oven, microwave and induction hob), and a cosy dining room where breakfasts are served featuring local, home-made produce. The vast enclosed garden, overlooking the Garonne, is an invitation to rest and contemplate.
Cyclists are welcome (secure shelter to come), as are pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.

Nearby Valcabrère: from the house, walk to the Basilique Saint-Just de Valcabrère, a Romanesque jewel at the foot of the mountain. Then cross over to the majestic Cité de Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, with its cloister and cathedral overlooking the valley. You can reach Clos d’Artagnan via Montréjeau station (swimming lake and golf course) in 24 minutes by bike. Canoe/kayak hire is available in the village, and the spa and ski resort of Luchon is 33km away. Just 15 minutes away, explore the caves of Gargas and their unique prehistoric paintings.

Please note: the house is a communal building, managed by the Mairie. An association can organise events under the covered terrace on Saturdays from 4pm to 10pm.
