Located in a preserved natural site within the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park, you will be staying fully immersed in nature.
The ecological richness is remarkable, with very diverse flora and fauna.
The gîte is a former dairy where Roquefort cheese was made in the basement, and the upper floor served as a home. Its renovation respected the building’s original architecture, with minimal ecological impact and attention to the local species (bats, swallows…). Local artisans used untreated local ash wood, lime plaster, fermacell, etc.
The gîte:
Detached house, near the owners’ home (below the gîte), with private terrace. Easy access with no steps or levels on the ground floor, including to the shower. Floor heating powered by a heat pump, plus wood stove available.
– Living room with open kitchen, dining area and sofa. Equipped kitchen with oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee maker.
– Ground-floor bedroom with 160×200 cm bed (natural linen sheets).
– Bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
– Mezzanine with desk and convertible sofa for 2 extra beds.
– Upstairs bedroom with two 90×190 cm beds (natural linen sheets) + baby bed.
Fully fenced property. Parking available at the door. Washing machine in the basement. Small hamlet of around ten residents, hiking paths nearby, cattle farm in the hamlet, and you will certainly meet the owners’ goats grazing outside…
