Walk in the footsteps of the Cro-Magnons, with the emotion of an explorer and the light of a lamp: you have an appointment with a part of your history.

The Niaux cave is unique, and that’s no false promise. The 1h45 guided tour allows you to admire, like nowhere else, the authentic paintings of our ancestors concentrated in the Salon Noir. No facsimiles here, but superb animal paintings combined with enigmatic signs that transport you to distant times for a sacred adventure.

ATTENTION: The cave is neither equipped nor lit, and the route (2.5km in total) is hilly and must be completed in a limited time. For this reason, the visit is not suitable for people with motor disabilities, and is not recommended for children under 6 or people with mobility problems.
