Escap’ânes in the Cathar Pyrenees provides the perfect solution for your nature walks, offering you pack donkeys to carry your equipment throughout your day or multi-day hiking itinerary.

The farm is in Roquefixade, in the Cathar Pyrenees, in a lush valley. It is there that Florence and Olivier breed donkeys for hiking.
The best way to appreciate the richness of this region is at donkey pace, with one of their friendly, big-eared guides. A whole network of signposted, easy, little-used trails awaits you!

Multi-day hikes – loop trails starting from the farm :
Roquefixade – Plantaurel (mid-range limestone mountains, maximum altitude 1001m) Roquefixade – Montségur (Pyrenean foothills, maximum altitude 1320m). Cathar Trail GR367. Chemin des Bonshommes GR107. Tour de Montségur. Massif du Tabe (Pyrenees): Mont Fourcat, St-Barthélémy, Lac des Truites and Lac du Diable. Mirepoix-Montségur via the GR7 and Lac de Montbel.

A choice of two options: comfort hike with nights in gite or B&B accommodation or freedom hike with nights in tents (camping or bivouac depending on options).
