Because linking my daily activity to my daily needs gives meaning to my life, I choose to farm to feed other people. Local people are the people you know. People with whom you can do things on a daily basis. It means participating in the social fabric. That’s who I want to sell the food I produce to. Local says nothing about the virtues of farming practices, yet I only sell locally. Agriculture Biologique (Organic Farming) says almost nothing about respect for the environment, yet I’m AB certified. So what are my ethics?
