On the way to Santiago de Compostela, in the heart of Ténarèze, the church of Mouchan is a jewel of Romanesque art.
Listed as a Clunisian site (3rd site in the region), the church was built at the beginning of the 11th century and is one of the oldest in the department. Consecrated to Saint-Austrégésile, the church contains remarkable capitals.
Its beauty and history rank it among other churches of the ‘Grand Itinéraire Culturel du Conseil de l’Europe’ (Major Council of Europe Cultural Route).
