This is why we invite you to discover theSaint-Mont vineyard, whether red, white or rosé, the wines are always of high quality and very refined character. A bit like the inhabitants of Gascony! Your hosts will share with you their passion for this exceptional terroir. During meals, you will learn to combine food and wine. A weekend where flavors rhyme with happiness!
About
1st day :
Arrival (4:00 p.m.) and installation in a charming guest room in the heart of the vineyard.
Dinner on site and accommodation in a guesthouse.
2nd day :
Morning: Discover the local wines of the Gers: AOC Saint Mont, AOC Madiran, AOC Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh and IGP Côtes de Gascogne.
Come meet the winegrowers of Plaimont and discover their appellations.
Your guide will introduce you to the notions of terroirs and local grape varieties as you walk through the vineyard of a great wine, and will share with you the secrets of winemaking and aging through a visit to the cellar.
A commented tasting of 1 wine from each of our 4 appellations will close the visit in the magnificent vaulted cellar of the Monastery of Saint-Mont, dating from the 15th century.
Free lunch and afternoon.(Suggestions for restaurants and visits to bastides will be passed on by the owners of the bed and breakfast).
Gourmet dinner and accommodation in a guesthouse.
3rd day:
Morning: Welcome by Jean-Luc, a passionate organic winegrower, guided tour of the estate, tasting.
Departure late morning (12:00). Free lunch.
Your hosts and a winegrower will share with you their passion for their land and its quality products.
Marie-Édith and her family welcome you to their charming guest house, a Gascon farm, surrounded by a shady park, on the route des bastides and near a hilly lake that invites you to walk or go fishing. .
Catering:
Meals, including a gourmet, are taken at the table d’hôtes.
