In the Tarn-et-Garonne department, Moissac is set in a lush landscape washed by the River Tarn. The hillsides overlooking the town are covered in orchards and vineyards.This is the land of AOC Chasselas grapes. Moissac, a stopover on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, is a major centre of Romanesque art in France. It is also well-known as a stopover along the Canal des Deux Mers.
