Famous for its Cassoulet, Castelnaudary is a peaceful small town on the Canal du Midi. It is a must stop for pleasure boaters travelling on the canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's worth taking a stroll around the marina and the Grand Bassin (7 hectares!) and admiring the 4 staggered locks of Saint-Roch on the canal.
