The gite is located in the village of Castillon en Couserans, at the crossroads of the 4 valleys of the Lez, Bethmale, Bellongue and Biros, on land bordered to the north by a small stream, the Riou-Passat.

The gite is located in the village of Castillon en Couserans, at the crossroads of the 4 valleys of the Lez, Bethmale, Bellongue and Biros, on land bordered to the north by a small stream, the ‘Riou-Passat’.

Castillon is at the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Nature Park, where you can discover local culinary expertise and taste local products such as cheese, honey, croustades and meat, as well as discovering local crafts…

Castillon is also the base for a number of hiking trails, including the GR10 and the GR78, the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.

You can fish for trout in the streams or in the magnificent Lac de Bethmale, a haven of peace and greenery, or in the mountain lakes.

You can also go cycling, mountain biking and snowshoeing in winter. The village has a tennis court, swimming pool, media library and children’s play area.
