Moulin de Record, Gîtes de pêche, Chambre & Table d’Hôtes, in the heart of nature in the Sidobre (Tarn), Occitanie, crayfish fishing in summer, peaceful stay, ideal for teasing trout, meditating, hiking, mountain biking, recharging your batteries, reconnecting with nature.

Between Castres and Lacaune, 10 minutes from Brassac and 2 minutes from Ferrières, the mysterious Sidobre hides many secrets. If you go down the winding road from Guyor to Ferrières (D66), at the bottom of this wild, green valley, you’ll suddenly see an enormous building from another era: Le Moulin de Record, a seigneurial mill that has survived the centuries while keeping its turbines and mechanisms intact, recently brought back into service with a hydroelectric turbine to produce green electricity and give this mill a new vocation. Gabriele and Jean-Pierre offer you their comfortable gîtes for a stay in the heart of nature, to the sound of birdsong and the murmur of the river, in a relaxing setting where time seems to stand still. Fish for trout below the gîte (March-Sept). A guided tour of the Moulin is offered during your stay. Jean-Pierre will plunge you into the eventful past of our Mill, which is totally involved in local history, from the Albigensian Crusade to the War of Religion. A journey through time awaits you…

The rustic gîte Chez Les Enfants du Meunier, with direct access to the river (private fishing!). Facing south-south-east, it is located on the first floor of the mill’s main building, with its own entrance on the west side. It comprises 2 rooms, which were once the bedrooms of the last miller’s children. There is a main room of 22 m² with a sitting area, a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people, an open-plan kitchen equipped with all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, and a dining area. Then you go up 2 steps to the large bedroom of 20 m² with a 160×200 bed, incorporating the shower room with a washbasin, shower cubicle and WC. The separate terrace with barbecue overlooks the river. Deckchairs available, cot on request (free of charge). Possibility of storing bicycles. Washing machine shared with the other gîtes. Wifi access. Sheets provided for the main bed, bathroom linen hire and end-of-stay cleaning service optional.
Our gîtes are spaced out and ideally located to respect everyone’s privacy, and a strict sanitary protocol is applied for your safety.
